Romania & Bulgaria
Romania and Bulgaria are situated in Eastern Europe on the West side of the Black Sea and north of Greece and Turkey; with Romania being north of Bulgaria. In prehistoric times, these lands were inhabited by the Dacians and the Thracians.
These lands were occupied by the Romans and have gennerally been marked by a rich culture and history. Romania was once three regions known as Transylvania, Moldavia, and Wallachia.
This photographic tour started in Sofia, Bulgaria, traveling East and North to Ruse before crossing the border into Romania. The Romanian portion of the tour started in Bucharest then traveled North, through the Carpathian Mountains, to Gura Humorului before looping West and traveling South back to Bucharest.
